Holy, Innocent, and Unstained
Hebrews 7:26-27 "For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens. He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself." When Jesus offered himself up for us on the cross, He fulfilled the law and its system of daily sacrifices. He was the perfect and complete sacrifice for all of our sins. Nothing more can be added. We cannot do any good works to earn salvation and forgiveness of sins. Only faith in Jesus can save us.
