Mercy, Not Sacrifice
Matthew 9:13 "Go and learn what this means, 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.' For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners." God is not impressed with the actions of those who think they are righteous. Our good works cannot earn God's favor. God wants to change our hearts through faith in Jesus Christ. He is always ready to receive and heal a contrite and broken heart.
