Our Heritage

In recent years the number of genealogy apps have increased sharply. At first these apps helped you trace your ancestors through legal records mostly. But now you can send them a sample of your DNA and they give you even more information on your heritage. You can learn more about where your family is from and possible links to specific families. For instance I found out that I may have royal family ancestors, but honestly it is not likely.

One of the names given to God in the Bible is King of kings. This name reflects His sovereign authority and power over all nations and people. The Bible also tells me that I am a child of God, so a child of the One True King. John 1:12-13 says, “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.”

We have the right to become children of God. But this right is only given to those who believe in His name, which means that we trust Him with our lives, believing that He redeems us from our sins. We cannot become children of God by being born into the right family or born in the right neighborhood. We can do nothing to earn the title of child of God. This title is only given by God as an act of His great mercy and grace.

Why not join the royal family of the King of kings? Place your trust in God for salvation and life everlasting.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
