A few days ago, I underwent a heart catheterization procedure. They inserted a small wire into my wrist and fed it to my heart to evaluate any blockages. Fortunately, they did not find any significant blockages. I have a small scar, not much bigger than the point of a needle.
Undergoing such a procedure makes you thankful for the advances of technology. With lasers and robotics, doctors can reach deep into the human body to create the most intricate of healing processes. We benefit with longer and healthier lives.
God has the ability to make intricate and healthy changes in our spiritual lives. Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” God’s precision instrument for repairing our hearts, souls and spirits is the Word of God. His Word is able to go deep within us to identify problem areas and sin. Then by applying the healing power of the Word and His Spirit, God removes the hurt and damaged areas and replaces them with everlasting love and great mercy. As we grow in His grace, the scars get smaller and the healing gets stronger.
Take some time to look into God’s Word. Ask God to bring the healing that you desire. Trust Him to heal the hurts that weigh you down from deep within. He is able and is eager to provide hope and healing.
