We can easily recall the most difficult thing we have ever had to deal with. Different events in our lives cause us to face seemingly unsurmountable obstacles. It could be the loss of a loved one or the loss of a job at the wrong time. It could be a strained relationship that causes deep hurt and we seek reconciliation. Our struggle may be with a tough physical diagnosis and subsequent treatments. Somehow we try to draw strength from somewhere to move through the hardships.
Jeremiah 32:17 says, “Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.” The God who created the heavens and the earth is surely able to do whatever we may need Him to do for us. In addition, He really wants to do what we need Him to do for us. He is merciful, gracious, and steadfastly loving. We will face obstacles, struggles, challenges, and hurts. Our God is able to bring us through whatever difficulties we face. Let’s trust Him to do for us whatever we need. His power and His love are sufficient.
