Most of us enjoy telling stories to others. Some are true. Some are exaggerated. And some are not so true. The stories that I enjoy hearing the most are the ones about what has truly happened in another person’s life. I once went on a carriage ride in Ireland. I can honestly say that I have never met anyone who enjoyed telling stories as much as this gentleman. Pick any subject or ask any question and he was ready to tell a story. It was a lot of fun listening to him.
In Mark 5:24-25 Jesus speaks to a man whom He had just healed: “‘Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.’ And he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had dne for him, and everyone marveled.” Everyone who believes in Jesus has a story to tell of what the Lord has done for them. Tell your story and do not be afraid, because no one can honestly dispute your story.
