Know the Love of Christ

The apostle John wrote, “So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” (I John 4;16) God is love. Of course, God has many other attributes, like holiness, justice, infinite, and wise. But through all His attributes, His love is also displayed. He will not act outside of His love.

II Corinthians 3:17-19 is Paul’s prayer for the church and says, “so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Knowing and experiencing God’s love more each day leads us to becoming more like Him. Paul encourages us to seek to know the breadth and length and height and depth of God’s love. We can never, on this side of eternity, exhaust the understanding of God’s love for us. Let’s make it a lifelong goal and a daily practice to experience and know the love of God more.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
