Infinite Power

I used to work with a woman that came to work everyday looking worn out. I would ask her how she was doing and she always said, “I’m tired.” Then she would go on to tell me that she and her husband went out to dinner about 8 pm and then went to see the latest movie thriller. I never told her this, but my thoughts were “of course you’re tired after doing those things.” The phrase, “I’m tired” is used by almost everyone these days. We have a right to be tired with all the things we are expected to do these days. Where can we find the source of power that we need to live our lives these days.

Exodus 9;16 says, “But for this purpose I have raised you up, to show you my power, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.” When we try to do things in our own strength, our power is limited to what is inside of us. To those who are called by God and trust in Him, He gives us all the power we will ever need to do whatever He has called us to do. By trusting in His power to work through us and by doing what He has called us to do, we proclaim His name in all the earth. Let’s live by the infinite power of Jesus Christ and not limit ourselves to the finite power within us.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
