Replacements

When our possessions get old we tend to replace them with the newest and best modern items. We need our possessions to serve their intended purpose. When our bodies begin to get old, we may feel like we need to replace it as well. Unfortunately, we cannot do that for most ailments. The best that we can do is get a tune up for the old parts.

II Corinthians 5:1-2 says, “For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, external in the heavens. For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling.” Everything we have in this world, including our bodies, is temporary, inferior, and decaying. So don’t get attached to earthly things, but rather look forward to your heavenly home and body. Celebrate the new heaven, resurrected body, and brand new home that God will provide to those who put their faith in Him and receive His salvation through Jesus Christ.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
