Contrast

Studying contrasts between things and thoughts can be entertaining and highly instructive. You can visit the Himalayan Mountains and become awestruck at the majestic peaks. Then you can go the Death Valley or the Grand Canyon and be amazed at the beauty of the depths. Daily we see the contrasts and the effects of human kindness versus anger and selfishness.

Psalm 95:2-5 says, “For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountain are his also. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.” It is good to often remember that the God who created the heavens and the earth and still sustains it all, is the same God who created us, loves us and sustains us, as well. God is majestic in His holiness, but also very near to us in His love and grace. Consider how the Creator and Ruler of heaven and earth humbled Himself to become a man and be with us forever, revealing His mercy and eternal love.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
