Great Promises

Some promises are too good to be true. “Vote for me and I will help you” is a promise rarely kept to the degree that we want. “This appliance will last forever” is a promise that never is fulfilled. Where can we find promises that we can rely upon? Let’s turn to God’s Word for a moment.

Psalm 37:3-4 says, “Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” God does not promise to give us everything that we want. He does promise to give us what our heart truly desires, the attributes that endure forever, if we will faithfully seek Him with our whole heart. He has never failed to keep a single promise and He will not begin to do so now. We can trust Him fully because He is fully faithful to His promises. Seek to be faithful to God daily, trusting Him fully and doing the good works that He has designed for you to do.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
