Rural Roads

In our part of the country, we have many two lane country roads. It takes a good deal of patience to negotiate these roads. Slow-moving vehicles in the form of horse-drawn carriages and large trucks impede speeding vehicles. Patience is a virtue necessary to smoothly travel our narrow roads.

Luke 8:15 says, “As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience.” For us to become good soil for God to implant the seeds of wisdom and goodness, we must patiently hold onto His Word with a good heart. We will experience goodness, righteousness, hope, and peace as we patiently hold fast onto His love and truth.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
