A Good Memory

One of the things that can get us through hard times is a good memory.  Often, we can look back at successes or previous sources of comfort, which we help us face the current difficulties.

Psalm 42:5-6 says, “Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.” When we feel troubled, sad, or discouraged, we can remember all God has done for us. He is always faithful to grant us grace when we need it. Remembering God’s power in prior difficulties helps us to trust Him in our current struggles.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
