The Best Benefit Plan

Psalm 103:2-5 says, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” We should recount all the Lord’s blessings to us during each day. This act of thanksgiving and worship will encourage us and strengthen us for each new day.

And we have plenty of God’s blessings for which to be grateful. He forgives our sins by the sacrifice of His own Son, Jesus Christ. Healing of sicknesses/brokenness comes from Him. He oversees our lives with steadfast love and mercy. He redeems us from our personal slavery to the wrongs that control us. God satisfies our souls with the good gifts of grace that He bestows on us. Though we are weak and easily tired, He renews us with His strength. Let us thank Him for His benefits and praise His name!

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
