Misplaced Trust

We have all put our trust in someone only to be disappointed later when they betrayed that trust or were unable to fulfill their promises. People are often unreliable objects of our trust. Equally disappointing are our leaders who appear to be sincere in their promises, but often fail to deliver.

Psalm 146:3-5 says, “Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish. Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God.” Hope comes from knowing God and trusting in His help. People will often disappoint us, but God will always love and come through for us.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
