Our needs are met in a variety of ways. Most often, we work and thus are able to provide for our own physical needs. We depend upon health care professionals to care for our health needs. Our needs for love and support are often provided for by family and friends. We may have other needs attended to by government and nonprofit agencies. But even these providers have been put into place for us and enabled by the God who reigns over all things.
Deuteronomy 11:13-14 says, “13 “And if you will indeed obey my commandments that I command you today, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14 he will give the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the later rain, that you may gather in your grain and your wine and your oil.” Let the rain always remind us of God’s provision for all our needs. We should respond to His graceful provision with love with our whole heart and soul.
