I have often had dreams during the night, only to wake up and wonder what the dreams meant. To be honest, I have never figured out what any of my dreams have meant. Some have left me afraid, while others have left me with a good feeling. I have also found it difficult to figure out what quite a few of my interactions with other people, experiences in life, and even some of my own thougths have meant.
Daniel 2:27-28 says, “Daniel answered the king and said, ‘No wise men, enchanters, magicians, or astrologers can show to the king the mystery that the kings has asked, but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and he has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days.” When the kings wise men could not tell the king what his dream was and what it meant, Daniel was called before the king. Daniel did not pretend that he could tell the king about his dream. Instead, Daniel said that God is the one who possesses all knowledge and can reveal the mysteries of the king’s dream. God had chosen to disclose the truths of the future to the king and spoke through Daniel to reveal these truths. God reveals truth today through His Word and by His Spirit to those who will listen to Him. As we come across confusing interactions, experiences, and personal thoughts, we can go to the source of all wisdom and knowledge to ask Him to reveal the truth to us.
