Peace in Turbulent Times

We live in turbulent times. Chaos seems to rule the day as divisions are rising amongst people and nations. One thing that we are called to do in times like these is to pray. We should pray that leaders find wisdom and act in righteousness on behalf of people. We should pray that people are protected from harm through outrageous acts and that those who are harmed can find comfort and healing.

I Timothy 2:1-3 says, “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings, and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. That is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior.” Our prayers make a difference in the world and in our lives. We should remember to pray for our leaders, whether they be leaders in the church, in our communities, over organizations, or in the world. We should ask that peace and righteousness prevail.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
