Daunting Task

When faced with a daunting task, I have a choice to make. I can choose to soldier on and do the best that I can. The results are often disappointing when I try this option. Or, I can try to ignore the task and hope that it just goes away. This option generally just makes the task grow larger over time. A third option is to turn to God for strength and help. Of course, this option works best as it draws upon God’s strength and wisdom.

Isaiah 35:3-4 says, “Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.” Sometimes we face an obstacle or task, but we feel too weak to do it. In those times, God comes with His full strength to help those who trust Him.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
