What titles have been given to you in your lifetime? We receive relationship titles like father, mother, son, daughter, etc. We receive job titles like supervisor, director, associate, etc. We may receive other formal or informal titles like good student, counselor, teacher, friend, coworker, etc. We are also often recognized for the attributes that others think that we possess like extrovert, deep thinker, kind, bold, and others. None of these attributes nor titles can compare to those which God possesses, titles and attributes that only He has always possessed.
I Timothy 1:17 says, “To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.” No man has ever achieved, nor can ever achieve, the honor of these titles and attributes that are only belong to our God. These titles declare that our sovereign God possesses all authority and power both now and forevermore.
