Forever Guarantee

When we buy a product, it usually comes with some form of warranty or guarantee. This guarantee is usually for a limited time and is really only as good as the guarantor. If the guarantor goes out of business, for instance, the guarantee is likely no longer good, because there is no longer anyone to make it good. People can make all sorts of promises to us, but these promises are also only as good as the person who makes them.

Psalm 23:6 says, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” This is the Lord’s promise, a guarantee that lasts for an eternity. God’s always shares His goodness and mercy with His children, to whom God also promises to give a place in His house and in His presence forever. God always makes good on His promises and these promises will have no end, but will remain good forever.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
