Isaiah 9:6 says, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
This prophecy foretells the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. As Wonderful Counselor, He possesses wisdom beyond human capabilities and makes wise plans. As Mighty God, He possesses all power and authority. As Everlasting Father, He is our benevolent protector. As Prince of Peace, He is the ruler whose reign brings peace.
