Sometimes, I wish I could find a car wash for humans. Then, I would walk through this human car wash to remove all the filth and grime of the world that has attached itself to me. As I exit the wash I would feel pure, that is until I walk into another pothole of filth.
I John 3:2-3 says, “Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.” Through His grace, God grants present and future blessings to those who trust Him. He has adopted us into His family and we are His beloved children. And when Jesus returns to take us into His forever presence we will be like Him. Now, we possess the purifying hope of His soon return.
