The Way We Should Go

When we are driving on a long trip, my wife acts as the navigator. He is adept at finding and following GPS directions. When we need refreshment and fuel along the way, she can easily find appropriate accomodations. I am confident that she will lead us in the right ways.

Isaiah 30:20-21 says, “And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher. And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.” God has given His Holy Spirit to those who trust in Jesus Christ for salvation. He is our Teacher, but unlike other teachers, we do not have to find Him or wait for Him. The Holy Spirit resides within the believer and teaches us what we should do and directs us in the way we should go.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
