Covered Completely

The winter snow does a pretty good job of covering everything. The streets and sidewalks are covered, if only for a short while. Plants and fields are covered, except for random shoots. Everywhere we look, we see the effects of fallen snow. The coverage is not complete and is only temporary.

Psalm 32:1-2 says, “Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.” These truths are the foundation of our faith. For those of us who have trusted in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, all of our sins are forgiven through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. His blood completely and eternally covers our sins so that the Father chooses to no longer remember them, nor count them against us.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
