Sometimes, we come to know of a job opening within our company. The position would constitute a promotion for us and the job description is attractive to us. The job would provide us mental, emotional, and financial benefits to us, so we begin the process to apply for it. Promotions like this are good for us, for the benefits are temporary. God offers us a promotion to be priests in His kingdom. The benefits are amazing and eternal.
Revelation 1:5-6 says, “To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” By the blood of Jesus Christ we are freed from our sins and are brought into His kingdom where He reigns in glory forevermore. Being made into His priests, we have access to the Father’s throne to serve before Him.
