More Power

Technology teaches us that more power is available to us. Most of us get new electronic devices and use them for some time, only to discover that these new devices can do many more things than how we have used them. In the words of Time Allen on the Home Improvement television show, “More Power” is at our finger tips. But where is this more power available to us when we simply want to live.

Luke 17:5-6 says, “The apostles said to the Lord, ‘Increase our faith!’ and the Lord said, ‘If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.'” According to Jesus, it is not the amount of faith that is important, but rather who or what we place our faith in that gives us power. Let’s place true faith in the One who can and will do good and mighty things for us.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
