God’s Handbook for Dealing With Suffering

In this life, suffering is inevitable. People will hurt us and difficult circumstances will come our way. Sometimes, we will even suffer while doing the right things.

I Peter 3:14-16 says, “But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience.” God’s handbook for dealing with suffering: 1, live righteously; 2, count your blessings; 3, remove fear; 4, remember God is in control; 5, be prepared to defend the hope that you possess; and 6, live so that your conscience is clear.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
