New Identity

Sometimes, we have the opportunity to stamp a new identity upon our lives. This commonly happens when we marry and have children. Suddenly we become identified as husband, wife, father, or mother. We may acquire a new identity when we move to a new home, get a different job, or get promoted. These new identities can have the power to change us, but usually only externally.

Psalm 95:6-7 says, “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker! For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.” Those who trust in Jesus Christ have a wonderful relationship with God. We are His people with the inheritance of all of God’s promises for His people. His hand is always upon us, protecting and guiding us. We speak with Him through praises and worship. We become new creations in His hands.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
