We do whatever we can to protect the things which are precious to us. We take care of our families, making sure they are safe, fed, clothed, and happy. We put our valuables in safes and placed in secure locations. We do our best to protect people and things, but what do we do to take care of our souls?
Deuteronomy 4:9 says, “Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children’s children.” Because your soul is precious, diligently protect it from falsehood and evil. Feed your soul with truth and faith. Remember God’s blessings and walk according to His promises.
