Walk in the Light

Have you ever noticed how much easier it is to walk in the light, as opposed to darkness? The light reveals dangers that you can’t see in darkness. The light reveals the best path to take. The light gives us confidence as we walk.

I take a long walk every morning. This morning I started about 5 am. It was dark when I started and still dark when I finished. It is easy to get somewhat on edge at times like this. If someone passes me before I notice them, I tend to startle easily, even if they give me a friendly greeting. I have to be extra cautious with my steps so I don’t trip or bump into something. The Bible says that God is light and His light shatters the darkness of evil. I John 1:7 says, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.”

We must walk in God’s light. If we do that, God promises to remove all fear and protect us from the darkness surrounding us. In His light we have fellowship with one another and enjoy the power and presence of God.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
