Frustrated

Yesterday, I got frustrated with unexpected traffic in our area. Two accidents had occurred at different places along a major thoroughfare. To be honest, traffic is rarely a problem in this area. But in my mind, I let the circumstances become a bigger problem than it really was. I forgot about the greater power that I had available to me in Jesus Christ.

Philippians 4:12-13 says, “I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Whether we live in the United States or another country, in poverty or with riches, amidst family or in a land far away, God’s strength is available to us. By His strength, we don’t just survive, but we are able to thrive in all circumstances.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
