I admit that when I am looking for something around the house, my search is usually halfhearted. If I don’t find it immediately, I know that my wife can and will. She knows where every little thing is. She will find, what I can’t, because my search is dependent upon her.
Deuteronomy 4:29 says, “But from there you will seek the LORD your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.” The search for God requires an exclusive and total devotion to Him. We cannot expect to find Him while we are chasing other pursuits of the heart and soul.
