Renewed in Knowledge

As I get older, I notice the changes in my mind and body on a daily basis. My body can’t do the things that it used to do, and it just doesn’t feel like it used to feel. My mind is not as sharp as it used to be, although many people may say that it wasn’t all that sharp before. We may want to feel younger and try extreme makeovers to accomplish that goal somewhat.

Colossians 3:9-10 says, “Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.” When we come to Jesus Christ in faith, He makes us a brand-new creation, no longer controlled by our old self-centered ways. This new creation becomes transformed more and more into the image of God as we learn more from Him and His ways and put aside our old ways. God renews us daily.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
