Gracious words have the power to change lives. Gracious words speak truth in a manner that encourages. Gracious words give strength and hope to the hearer. Gracious words change lives.
Luke 4:21-22 says, “And He began to say to them, ‘Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.’ And all were speaking well of Him, and wondering at the gracious words which were falling from His lips.” Jesus had been speaking about the Messiah in the synagogue. His words changed everything. The people went from looking for the Savior to seeing and hearing Him speak directly to them. The people called these words, ‘gracious words’, because they spoke of God’s grace and kindness for the people through the giving of this Savior, Jesus Christ.
