Rescued

I have experienced many situations when I needed to be rescued. Sometimes, the rescue came in the form of a skilled medical team who performed the procedures that I needed to live or live well. Sometimes, the rescue came through a friend or colleague who helped keep me on the right path and out of the danger that I was guiding myself into.

Job 19:25 says, “As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last He will take His stand on the earth.” A redeemer is a person who saves, recovers, or frees someone by paying a price (Dictionary.com). Jesus is our Redeemer. He has saved us from God’s judgment against sin, recovered us from death into life, and freed us from slavery to evil ways. Our Redeemer lives! And He will reign over all powers and authorities forever!
