Hezekiah Did Not Hesitate

King Hezekiah was warned of the intentions of the Assyrian king to invade. He immediately prepared the city for battle as much as he could. Then, Hezekiah gathered the people together, well aware of their fears. But, Hezekiah knew that he had a mighty weapon at his disposal in the power of God.

In II Chronicles 32:8 Hezekiah spoke to the people saying, “With him is an arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God, to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people took confidence from the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.” Where we place our confidence determines the strength of this confidence. If we put confidence in our intelligence and abilities our confidence has the strength of a human arm. Instead, if we place our confidence in God, that confidence comes with the mighty power and wisdom of God.

After 16 years of vocational ministry, God has called me to a simpler ministry. Now I just proclaim His truth simply to those who are open to hear it. God is speaking through His Word and His creation.
