When I buy some new thing, I will glance at the instructions and have some vague idea of what the product can do. But I don’t read these instructions carefully as I should and thus miss out on many of the features of new products. Could it be possible that we are missing out on some of the blessings that God wants to give us, because we are not fully aware of what He has promised and are not living in a way that makes these promises come alive.
Psalm 25:14 says, “The friendship of the LORD is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant.” Walking with God in righteousness according to His design for us allows us to know God’s guidance, blessing, and friendship. Even though He is Almighty God, creator and sustainer of all things, He also wants us to be the closest of friends with Him.
