We cheer for our favorite teams. We are excited when our candidate wins the election. We cry tears of joy at births and weddings. We are thrilled when our children do something special. All are valid reasons to celebrate and shout for joy.
Psalm 33:1 says, “Shout for joy in the LORD, O you righteous! Praise befits the upright.” Those who have been saved by God’s grace by faith in Jesus Christ, have plenty of reason to celebrate in great joy. God has covered us in the righteousness of His Son. Shouts of praise should pour forth for all God has done for us and for His steadfast love and faithfulness.
